State-sanctioned organ harvesting in China implicates millions

A new report by the WOIPFG (World Organisation to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong) shows that organ harvesting is taking place on a large scale in China and is state-sanctioned, with involvement of military and armed police hospitals, as well as public security and judicial systems. The WOIPFG has determined the scale of this crime again on the basis of the total kidney transplants taking place between 2000 and 2014. This number is now estimated at 3 million, implicating millions of prisoners of conscience being victims. READ MORE

19 Falun Gong practitioners in Tianjin arrested for suing Jiang Zemin

(Minghui.org) Nineteen Falun Gong practitioners and one non-practitioner from Tianjin were arrested between July 3rd and 14th for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that caused them tremendous harm.

Many remain in detention. In particular, Ms Huang Fenglian was given three months of detention, while her non-practitioner husband was sentenced to 4 years in prison for trying to stop the police from taking his wife away from their home. The couple were also fined 20,000 Yuan (GBP £2,100). READ MORE

Four more practitioners illegally detained in Rucheng, Shandong Province

(Minghui.org) Four more female Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested on April 7th, 2015, in Rushan City, Shandong Province, following the arrest of their friend Ms Yu Jingtao six months earlier on October 6th, 2014. The four were detained for 17 days in the same detention centre.

On the day of their arrest, the police searched and ransacked their homes, taking personal belongings, such as computers, printers, and other items. READ MORE

Australia: Primetime TV documentary shines harsh light on China's organ harvesting practices

(Minghui.org) Human Harvest: China's Organ Trafficking, a 25-minute documentary on China's practice of killing prisoners of conscience for their organs, was aired during primetime on April 7th on SBS One's “Dateline,” the longest-running international current affairs programme in Australia.

DAFOH: Doctors reject sugar coating on China’s organ transplant business

(Minghui.org) Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), the medical watchdog organisation monitoring abuses in organ transplantation surgery, said that the international community should be wary of China’s recent promise to end the harvesting of organs from executed prisoners.

The Chinese government has a longstanding record of secrecy, misleading numbers and contradictory statements, and despite mounting evidence and international demands to stop organ harvesting abuses, Beijing has refused to acknowledge the illegal harvesting of organs from prisoners of conscience. Outside the law: inside the Changchun Brainwashing Centre

(Minghui.org) The Changchun Brainwashing Centre, known officially as the “Changchun Legal System Education Training Centre,” is located in the town of Lanjia, and under the direct control of the Jilin Provincial 6-10 Office. To hide the Centre from the public, its billboard is hidden inside the building.

Zou Jun from the provincial 6-10 Office is in charge of the daily operation of the brainwashing centre. Under him are two directors, Liu Xiaofeng and a woman surnamed He. The trio then recruits “assistants”, paying them each 150 Yuan per day (GBP £15), to help them carry out brainwashing of Falun Gong practitioners. READ MORE

Open letter from Doctors Against Organ Harvesting to the UN Human Rights Commissioner

Washington DC, December 10th, 2014 – Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, DAFOH, the international human rights group made up of physicians and advocates for ethical organ procurement, has penned an open letter to United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, calling on him to use his influence to oppose and end the People’s Republic of China’s practice of involuntary extraction of organs from executed prisoners and prisoners of conscience.
