(Minghui.org) Nineteen Falun Gong practitioners and one non-practitioner from Tianjin were arrested between July 3rd and 14th for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that caused them tremendous harm.
Many remain in detention. In particular, Ms Huang Fenglian was given three months of detention, while her non-practitioner husband was sentenced to 4 years in prison for trying to stop the police from taking his wife away from their home. (Minghui.org) Four more female Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested on April 7th, 2015, in Rushan City, Shandong Province, following the arrest of their friend Ms Yu Jingtao six months earlier on October 6th, 2014. The four were detained for 17 days in the same detention centre.
On the day of their arrest, the police searched and ransacked their homes, taking personal belongings, such as computers, printers, and other items. READ MORE

The hearing was adjourned when the defence lawyer called into question one of many violations of legal procedure. Her lawyer submitted her appeal to a higher court on November 21st, 2014, but has been given the runaround by the legal system.
