(Minghui.org) Mr Cheng Guanghui was playing with his 15-month-old grandson on the morning of March 11th when three cars pulled up in front of his house. His wife was cleaning the backyard, but couldn't stop them from breaking in.
One policeman ripped the family's decorative verses off the door frame as soon as he jumped out of the car. More than a dozen of his partners broke into the house and turned it upside down.
The police confiscated a lot of the couple's personal belongs, including a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, materials exposing the persecution of Falun Gong, a MP3 player, a computer, and the baby's bath. A policewoman took photos of the seized items.
Mr Cheng was sent to Liangyuan City Detention Centre that afternoon, immediately following a medical examination.
This is the 11th arrest of Mr Cheng for his refusal to give up belief in Falun Gong, a spiritual practice being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.
Mr Cheng, a 60-year-old farmer from Goumenzi Village, Lingyuan City, benefited greatly from his practice of Falun Gong. He never hesitated to tell people about the goodness of the practice even after the persecution began in July 1999 .
This simple act, however, resulted in numerous arrests. During Mr Cheng's detention, he suffered many forms of torture, including beatings, electric shock, and sleep deprivation. He was once tied up to a bed spread eagle for more than ten days while detained at Weiningying Forced Labour Centre in 2009. He walked with a noticeable limp a result, but eventually recovered.
His wife Ms Zheng Lihua and two daughters are also Falun Gong practitioners. All three women of the family have also been detained several times.
The mother and daughters were all sent to the now defunct Masanjia Forced Labour Camp back in 2001. The younger daughter was only 17, and her sister 19, at the time.
The younger sister was later sentenced to 7 years.

Chen Zhi from Lingyuan City Domestic Security Office drove an unmarked car to Mr Cheng's house.
Agents from Goumeizi Town Police Precinct in Lingyuan City were also involved, and they came in two police cars.
