The resolution also condemns the Chinese regime's state-sanctioned organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other prisoners of conscience.
Key individuals (Minghui.org) In China over the last 3 years, a large scale anti-corruption campaign, commonly known as “beating the tigers”, has weeded out hundreds of high-ranking communist party and government officials. Many of whom were involved in the persecution of Falun Gong.
Lawsuits This week, Chinese president and Communist Party head Xi Jinping will visit the United States. Much attention will focus on China’s poor human rights record under his leadership. But another trend in China deserves notice—a growing grassroots effort to hold former leader Jiang Zemin accountable for serious crimes.
Lawsuits (Minghui.org) Over 1,100 signatures were recently collected in Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, from Chinese citizens willing to show their support for the more than 200,000 lawsuits filed against former leader Jiang Zemin. Lawsuits (Minghui.org), More and more Chinese have started to speak out against the persecution of Falun Gong, due to the persistent efforts of practitioners. The recent flood of lawsuits against Jiang Zemin, the main culprit responsible for the persecution, has not only received massive support from the international community, but is also supported by many Chinese government officials in public and non-official ways. Here are two examples.
Lawsuits (Minghui.org) Nineteen Falun Gong practitioners and one non-practitioner from Tianjin were arrested between July 3rd and 14th for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that caused them tremendous harm.
Many remain in detention. In particular, Ms Huang Fenglian was given three months of detention, while her non-practitioner husband was sentenced to 4 years in prison for trying to stop the police from taking his wife away from their home. The couple were also fined 20,000 Yuan (GBP £2,100).

Parliaments & politicians (Epoch Times) WASHINGTON – Traditional Chinese medicine says that the tooth is the strongest bone in the human body. But in the case of Gao Zhisheng, the renowned Chinese rights lawyer, even the strongest bone could not resist the immense pressure and punishment inflicted by the secret police of the Chinese Communist Party.
Lawsuits Once dubbed the “conscience of China”, Gao Zhisheng spoke out powerfully for the persecuted and dispossessed. Now, after five years of abuse, the voice that challenged injustice is, for the moment at least, almost silenced.
