Falun Gong that sue Jiang Zemin imprisoned for seeking justice 18/01/2016

Lawsuits (Minghui.org) A top secret mandate recently issued in Gansu Province ordered all levels of the government to curtail Falun Gong practitioners suing Jiang Zemin, the former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who launched the nationwide persecution of Falun Gong. This mandate is an outcome of a recent meeting called by Luo Xiaohu, who is chief of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 6-10 Office of Gansu Province.


China's rail network complicit in the persecution of Falun Gong 16/01/2016

Law violations (Minghui.org) The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is using the nationwide identity card (ID) system to target Falun Gong practitioners on its rail network. Many practitioners have been illegally arrested, searched, and had their personal belongings confiscated.

19 Falun Gong practitioners in Tianjin arrested for suing Jiang Zemin 13/09/2015

Lawsuits (Minghui.org) Nineteen Falun Gong practitioners and one non-practitioner from Tianjin were arrested between July 3rd and 14th for suing former Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin for initiating the persecution of Falun Gong that caused them tremendous harm.

Many remain in detention. In particular, Ms Huang Fenglian was given three months of detention, while her non-practitioner husband was sentenced to 4 years in prison for trying to stop the police from taking his wife away from their home. The couple were also fined 20,000 Yuan (GBP £2,100).

Four more practitioners illegally detained in Rucheng, Shandong Province 06/07/2015

Forced labour (Minghui.org) Four more female Falun Gong practitioners were illegally arrested on April 7th, 2015, in Rushan City, Shandong Province, following the arrest of their friend Ms Yu Jingtao six months earlier on October 6th, 2014. The four were detained for 17 days in the same detention centre.

On the day of their arrest, the police searched and ransacked their homes, taking personal belongings, such as computers, printers, and other items.


Three Falun Gong practitioners arrested and detained in Shenzhen 05/07/2015

Forced labour (Minghui.org) Two police officers followed three Falun Gong practitioners to a KFC restaurant, and then called for reinforcements to come arrest them and take them away. Even though one of the practitioners had symptoms of tuberculosis, all three were admitted to a detention centre and ill-treated.

Shanxi case sees multiple violations of the law by Chinese authorities 10/05/2015

Law violations (Minghui.org) A district court in Shanxi Province attempted to try a Falun Gong practitioner earlier this month for distributing informational materials. The hearing was adjourned when the defence lawyer called into question one of many violations of legal procedure. From the practitioner's arrest to the trial, the authorities repeatedly broke the law.

Wuwei City police pressure practitioners' families to dismiss lawyers 14/04/2015

Family and children (Minghui.org) Police in Liangzhou District, Wuwei City attempted to force nine Falun Gong practitioners' families to dismiss their lawyers. Officers repeatedly threatened and detained the family members, and tried to pressure a school principal to expel an exemplary student.


Falun Gong case closed two months ago, lawyer not informed 12/04/2015

Law violations (Minghui.org) Ms Wang Chuanju, a retired primary teacher and a Falun Gong practitioner, was illegally sentenced to four years in prison by a Junan County Court judge. Her lawyer submitted her appeal to a higher court on November 21st, 2014, but has been given the runaround by the legal system. It was recently learned that her case was closed and the original sentence was upheld.
